I am very embarrassed. Yesterday, my tummy felt all rumbly and I knew I needed to go outside, but Mom was upstairs and didn’t know, and all of a sudden I went potty by my food bowl. I’m so ashamed!
It’s not Kesey’s fault. His tummy was a little upset and he had some diarrhea. Since then, he seems fine. He had the saddest look on his face because he NEVER goes in the house.
It’s okay. I still love you, Kesey.
We forgot that yesterday was our one year gotchaversary! One year ago we were six 1/2 weeks old and had never been in a car or a house before. We were very scared when we were put in the PTU and went on our first car ride … for about 10 minutes. Then we fell asleep. We slept all the way to our new house.
We had some stinky goodness and then took another nap.
We were sleepy all day. But as soon as it was nighttime we became crazy kitties!! We had to spend our first night in the bathroom because we were so noisy. The next few nights we spent in the living room because we were too noisy in the bathroom and since we didn’t know how to go up stairs yet, we got to be noisy in the living room. eventually we figured out stairs and were noisy everywhere every night. We would start out in the big bed, but usually get booted out before midnight.
It’s only been within the last few weeks that
we’ve Riley has gone more than a night without booting (no kittens were harmed during booting). He mostly only gets booted on the weekends now. I am a good girl and almost always only get booted voluntarily. I used to cry and cry every time Riley got out of my sight, and he would come running every time. Now I like being with the beans or even the woofie, so I’m not scared that Riley has disappeared somewhere. But I still like to be with my brother, so sometimes I go with him during booting and sometimes I do something on my own to get booted if I start missing him. Sometimes though, I just go back to sleep on Mommy. Mommies are good to sleep on.
Ben’s Mom wants a ceiling fan. To inspire her, Mommy decided to finally install one of the new lights that she has been meaning to put in. Here is the old ugly light.
Here I am helping her pick out tools. We needed wire strippers and a screwdriver. The directions said to use a Phillips, but we really just needed a flathead. Also, Mommy is paranoid so she uses a little gizmo to test for electrical current.
The main thing to remember is to turn off the power. Then you just unscrew all of the old parts.
Mommy installed a new bracket, screwed the ground wire to the bracket, and twisted the wires back together using the old wire nuts. Then she put the new base on with nuts. I like peanut butter I wonder if she used peanuts?
She put in a light bulb and put on the glass cover and turned the power back on.
Mommy says it takes a little longer to install a ceiling fan, but it really isn’t any harder. the bracket is bigger, but since you don’t install the blades until last, it’s not too much different than a plain light. It’s easier than some heavy lights because ceiling fans come with a hook you can hang them on while you mess with the wires.
3 2 more lights to install – upstairs hallway, front entry, and bottom of basement stairs but she says it’s time for a break. I’m all tired out from snoopervising, so I’m going to take a nap.
Dragonheart is hosting Weekend Cat Blogging. He is serving cake and ice cream, and tuna and salmon, so be sure to stop by and wish him a happy almost birthday.
